A California based technology firm had
spun up a professional services
consulting business to support its
technology sales and clients. The new
company needed a fractional CFO to
provide support for the business.

- New Co had OpEx investment from parent company for key roles and market development
- New Co needed full financials, market projections, payroll, and reporting for Board / Investors

- Leadership team met in CA and in Arkansas to develop financial strategy to support overall plan
- Developed budget and forecast
- Built scenario tool for revenue capture, OpEx use of funds, with supporting KPIs and reports

The result of the work provided an accurate financial projection generating strong Board confidence.
- Detailed Financials
Built full financial package with supporting GL codes, margin / revenue forecasts, and budgets. Provided KPI and reporting for leadership and BOD meetings.
- Scenario Tool
Built cash flow scenario tool, prioritizing use of funds and funds required based upon velocity of revenue capture. Tool was supported with KPIs and monthly reporting to ensure enough cash on hand.
- Monthly Leadership Team
Participated in weekly and monthly leadership meetings providing full financial reporting.
CONCLUSION
Fractional CFO work supported the growth of the business and reporting requirements for the parent company Board. Within 24 months business was generating over $3M in revenue annually.
